Description
The British Mark V tank (male version) was produced in 1918 at the end of World War I. The tank was equipped with two 57mm cannons and five machine guns operated by an eight-person crew. The Mark V moved at a dizzying speed of 7.4 km/h and could cover a distance of about 65 km on the road! Tanks of this type took part in the battles of Gomel, Amiens and on the Hindenburg Line on the Western Front.
To this day, a museum specimen from The Tank Museum in Bovington (Great Britain) marked with the number 9199 remains in operation. It was this specimen with a documented combat history that served as the prototype for the COBI block model.
The carefully reproduced model of the MARK V tank (Male) number 9199 consists of 844 COBI construction blocks and is 23cm long. Thanks to the use of the 1:35 model scale, the model fits COBI figures and other vehicles released in this size. The tank is equipped with a working caterpillar traction, rotating cannons and opening hatches. The markings and emblems are made of colorful blocks and durable prints that do not rub off even during intensive use. The set includes a British officer figure and a plate with the name of the set and the logo of The Tank Museum.
