Description
The Elefant, or "Ferdinand" was a German tank destroyer designed and named by Ferdinand Porsche. 91 of these Jagdpanzer's were built in 1942 and after modifications were made to 48 of the surviving 50 tanks in September 1943, it was renamed "Elefant" with the official designation of Panzerjager Tiger .
